About Us

Marwick Marketing is a dynamic and innovative marketing agency based in Newquay, Cornwall. We specialise in helping businesses grow their online presence through cutting-edge strategies and impactful campaigns. This is an in-house role at our offices in Newquay, Cornwall, UK. Beyond our agency services, we’re deeply embedded in surf culture through our affiliated brands—Wavelength Surf Magazine, Longboarder Magazine, 10 Over Surf Shop, and The UK Surf & Skate Expo. These brands are at the heart of the UK’s surf and skate communities, giving us a unique platform to engage with passionate audiences.

We’re looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to join our in-house team and help drive engagement across both our client accounts and our in-house surf, skate, and lifestyle brands.

Role Overview

As a Social Media Manager, you’ll be the creative force behind our clients’ and in-house brands’ presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest. You’ll develop, execute, and optimise social media strategies that drive engagement, build brand loyalty, and deliver measurable results. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a mix of client projects and our own established surf and skate brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tailored social media strategies for both client accounts and our in-house brands: Wavelength Surf Magazine, Longboarder Magazine, 10 Over Surf Shop, and The UK Surf & Skate Expo.
  • Create, schedule, and publish high-quality, engaging content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest.
  • Build and nurture online communities by responding to comments, messages, and interactions promptly.
  • Work closely with our editorial and events teams to amplify content from Wavelength Surf Magazine and Longboarder Magazine, as well as drive awareness for The UK Surf & Skate Expo.
  • Collaborate with 10 Over Surf Shop to promote new product launches, exclusive collaborations, and community-driven campaigns.
  • Analyse social media performance metrics and generate insightful reports to guide strategy adjustments.
  • Stay ahead of the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our brands and clients remain industry leaders.
  • Coordinate social media calendars and ensure consistent posting and engagement across all platforms.

Optional Expertise

While not required, the following skills would be an advantage:

  • Paid Social Ads: Plan and manage ad campaigns to boost reach and conversions on platforms like Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Photography & Videography: Capture compelling content for social media, including surf and skate events, lifestyle shoots, and product features.
  • Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics using tools like Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.

About You

  • Proven experience managing social media platforms, particularly Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest.
  • A passion for surf, skate, and outdoor culture—ideally with hands-on experience in the space.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific algorithms and audience engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional written and visual communication skills.
  • A creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with analytics tools like Meta Business Suite, Pinterest Analytics, and LinkedIn Insights.

Why Join Us?

  • Work in a stunning location by the coast in Newquay, Cornwall.
  • Be part of a team that lives and breathes surf, skate, and digital culture.
  • Get hands-on with some of the most influential brands in the UK’s surf and skate scene.
  • Opportunity for professional growth and skill development.
  • Flexible working environment.
  • Surfboard storage minutes from the beach.
  • Huge staff discounts at 10 Over Surf Shop.

Salary: £22,000 – £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
