The role

You'll play a key part in keeping residential property transactions moving smoothly β€” supporting fee earners with case preparation, document management and client communication. Day to day, you will:

  • Draft, review and organise legal documents for residential property transactions and cases
  • Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations and precedents to support case preparation
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete and up to date
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors and external agencies to gather information and keep matters progressing
  • Prepare reports, correspondence and schedules using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in line with legal and regulatory standards
  • Provide administrative support to keep the department running smoothly

About you

  • Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, ideally within residential property/conveyancing (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-first approach in line with Treating Customers Fairly principles
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and quick to pick up new legal case management systems
  • Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Proactive, self-motivated and equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
