We’re looking for an energetic, confident and driven Meetings & Events Sales Coordinator to join us at an exciting time as Marwell Hotel embarks on a new chapter, transitioning into a recognised hotel brand. The Role: As our Meetings & Events Sales Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests and clients looking to host meetings, conferences, groups, weddings and special events. You’ll take enquiries from initial contact through to confirmation, helping convert opportunities into bookings while delivering exceptional customer service every step of the way. Working closely with multiple departments across the hotel, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences while helping drive revenue and business growth. You’ll also have the opportunity to support wider commercial activities including proactive sales campaigns, exhibitions, wedding fayres, marketing initiatives and social media projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Driving Sales & Growing Business
    • Managing enquiries via phone, email and online channels with enthusiasm and professionalism
    • Creating tailored proposals, quotations and contracts
    • Following up opportunities to maximise conversions and revenue
    • Upselling additional services and experiences
    • Re‑engaging previous clients and developing new business opportunities
    • Supporting proactive sales activity, exhibitions and wedding fayres
    • Helping identify new revenue streams and business opportunities
  • Bringing Events to Life
    • Guiding clients through the planning process from enquiry to event delivery
    • Conducting hotel show rounds and client meetings
    • Preparing detailed event briefs and function sheets
    • Working closely with operations, food & beverage, kitchen and housekeeping teams
    • Helping ensure every event runs smoothly and exceeds expectations
  • Supporting the Wider Commercial Team
    • Maintaining accurate booking and CRM records
    • Assisting with invoicing, payments and post‑event feedback
    • Supporting reporting and performance tracking
    • Contributing to social media and marketing activity
    • Keeping up to date with hotel offerings, local market trends and competitor activity
    • Taking ownership of projects and supporting the team wherever needed

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, plenty of energy and a genuine passion for hospitality, events and sales.

Ideal Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in a customer‑facing, sales or events role (hotel or hospitality experience is a bonus)
  • Outstanding communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Confidence when dealing with clients, suppliers and colleagues
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new skills
  • A commercial approach with a focus on achieving results
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and booking systems
  • Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend events when required
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic and eager to grow
