The UK's #1 tomato brand needs a National Account Manager. Top 4 grocery experience essential. A brand that's been doing things properly for 125 years just hit the top spot in the UK. Now they need someone who knows how to keep a brand winning at the sharp end of grocery retail.
This is a brand that actually means something to shoppers, one that people pick up off the shelf because they want it, not because it was on promotion.
Why should you care? Because most NAM jobs are about managing decline or chasing distribution. This one's about momentum. The brand is growing, the category is growing and there's genuine headroom to do something meaningful here. You'll own the relationships. You'll own the numbers. You'll build the plans. And when it goes well and it will everyone knows it was you.
What you'll actually be doing:
- Running Top 4 grocery accounts end to end — JBPs, range reviews, promotional planning, the lot
- Hitting commercial targets without someone looking over your shoulder every five minutes
- Spotting opportunities in the market before someone else does and making a compelling case for them
- Working with distributors and a small, sharp internal team to get things executed properly
- Getting under the skin of your customers and building relationships that open doors, not just orders
Who you are:
You've sat across the table from a Top 4 buyer and held your own. You know how grocery really works not just the theory, but the politics, the pressure, the last-minute curve balls and how to win anyway. You're the kind of person who reads a category report and immediately sees the angle. Who follows up without being chased. Who treats their accounts like a business they're personally responsible for, not a to-do list they're working through.
Entrepreneurial. Commercially sharp. Doesn't need hand-holding. Top 4 experience is a must. Everything else, we can work with.
The setup:
Central London office, 2-3 days a week — the rest is yours to manage. Some travel involved, including the occasional trip to European HQ. Think sunshine, incredible food, and a business that takes quality as seriously as you do.
How can we make the recruitment process more accessible for you? We’re always open to adjustments and welcome feedback on how we can improve the experience. Feedback matters. We aim to respond to all applications as quickly as possible because clarity, communication and respect should be a given.
