Your Responsibilities as a Mental Health Support Worker
In this vital health and social care role, you will support young adults and children with mental health needs to enhance their well-being and independence. Your key duties will include:
β’ Providing direct care and emotional support to adults with a range of mental health conditions.
β’ Applying de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations calmly and safely.
β’ Supporting daily living activities, including meal preparation, routines, and community engagement.
β’ Maintaining accurate digital care plans, incident reports, and risk assessments.
β’ Collaborating effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure positive outcomes.
Essential Requirements for this Mental Health Support Role
To be successful in this position, you will need:
β’ A minimum of 12 months experience supporting young adults and children with mental health needs.
β’ Experience managing challenging behaviours and safeguarding vulnerable young adults and children
β’ Confidence using digital care systems for documentation and reporting.

β’ A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
