Essential Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
- Active NMC registration
- Minimum 12 months’ experience supporting young adults and children with mental health needs
- Experience working with challenging behaviours and safeguarding vulnerable individuals
- Confidence using digital care systems and clinical documentation
- Excellent communication skills with a calm, compassionate approach
- Current PMVA certificate
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Experience working in community-based mental health services
- Additional training in trauma-informed care or behavioural support

About The Role
Your Responsibilities as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
In this vital clinical role, you will provide professional nursing support to young adults and children with mental health needs, helping to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality mental health nursing care in line with best practice and clinical guidelines.
- Conducting clinical assessments, risk assessments, and care planning for individuals with mental health needs.
- Supporting and monitoring medication management and clinical interventions where required.
- Applying de-escalation and therapeutic communication techniques to manage challenging behaviours safely.
- Maintaining accurate digital clinical records, care plans, and incident reports.
- Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
- Promoting recovery, independence, and emotional wellbeing through person-centred care approaches.
Required Criteria
- Confidence in using digital care planning systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a calm, resilient and professional attitude.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desired Criteria
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults or Children).
- Current First Aid training.
Salary: £26.00 - £28.00 per hour
