We are looking for a commercially driven Associate Director to lead and grow a high-performing permanent recruitment function. This role combines hands-on 360 recruitment, aggressive business development, and leadership of an offshore delivery team. You will be accountable for revenue generation, client acquisition, and maximising delivery efficiency through a scalable offshore model.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development (Core Focus)
- Drive new business acquisition through proactive outreach, networking, and market mapping
- Build and convert a strong pipeline of retained and contingent roles
- Identify new markets, verticals, and revenue opportunities
- Own and deliver against monthly and quarterly billing targets
- 360 Recruitment Delivery
- Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle: Client briefings, Candidate sourcing strategy, Interview management, Offer negotiation and close
- Maintain high standards of candidate and client experience
- Ensure consistent fee generation and deal conversion
- Offshore Team Leadership
- Manage and optimise an offshore delivery team (sourcing / resourcing function)
- Set clear expectations on: Speed of delivery, Process adherence
- Implement structured workflows between onshore BD and offshore delivery
- Train and upskill offshore team to improve output quality
- Performance & Commercial Ownership
- Take full ownership of desk P&L performance
- Drive productivity, efficiency, and profitability across the function
- Track and improve key metrics: Time to fill
- Balance speed vs quality to maximise placement success
- Process & Operational Improvement
- Refine recruitment processes to improve scalability
- Implement best practices across BD, delivery, and candidate management
- Leverage offshore capability to reduce cost and increase output
- Continuously improve systems, reporting, and workflow efficiency
Key Requirements
- Proven track record in 360 permanent recruitment billing
- Strong business development ability (not just account management)
- Experience managing or working with offshore / remote delivery teams
- Commercial mindset with a focus on revenue and margin growth
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Strong leadership and communication skills
