We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Global People Manager to lead and develop our people strategy across multiple international locations, including the United Kingdom, South Africa, India, the United States, and Ireland.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a high-performing, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture while ensuring compliance with local employment legislation across all regions.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance business objectives with employee experience, workforce planning, talent development, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Global People Strategy
  • Develop and implement people strategies aligned with organisational goals and growth plans.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support business performance through effective people initiatives.
  • Drive organisational culture, employee engagement, and wellbeing programmes across all regions.
  • Lead workforce planning and organisational design initiatives.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR regulations across the UK, South Africa, India, USA, and Ireland.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, and investigations.
  • Manage complex people issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Oversee recruitment strategies to attract and retain high-quality talent globally.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and improve hiring processes.
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Build employer branding initiatives to strengthen talent attraction.
  • Performance & Development
  • Design and manage performance management frameworks.
  • Support managers in setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
  • Identify learning and development needs across the organisation.
  • Develop succession planning and leadership development programmes.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Lead employee engagement surveys and action planning.
  • Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
  • Support employee recognition and reward programmes.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.

  • Manage employee benefits programmes across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Produce people analytics, workforce reports, and HR metrics.
  • Drive process improvements and HR automation initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external HR advisors, payroll providers, and employment law specialists.
  • Leadership Responsibilities
  • Coach and support managers on people-related matters.
  • Lead and develop HR team members where applicable.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Champion company values and leadership behaviours.

  • Employee engagement and retention rates.
  • Time-to-hire and recruitment effectiveness.
  • Employee turnover and absence metrics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a People Manager, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager role.
  • Experience managing HR operations across multiple countries.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law with exposure to international employment practices.
  • Experience supporting remote and hybrid workforces.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience implementing HR systems and people processes.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent qualification).
