Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Clinical Lead – RNLD to join our team, supporting adults with learning disabilities in a residential setting. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will combine your clinical expertise with your ability to support and guide others — helping to shape a safe, supportive, and genuinely person-centred environment. You will be leading from the front — providing direct nursing care when needed, supporting the wider team, and ensuring we meet the highest standards in everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading on Clinical Practice: Take the lead on clinical care within the service — acting as a role model for the wider team. Be the go-to person for nursing-related decisions and support staff with any clinical queries or challenges. Make sure care is delivered safely, respectfully, and always in line with people's individual care plans.
- Care Planning & Reviews: Carry out thorough nursing assessments and work closely with individuals, families, and staff to create person-centred care plans. Regularly review care plans to make sure they continue to reflect each person's needs, preferences, and goals.
- Medication & Health Monitoring: Oversee the safe storage, administration, and recording of medication. Keep a close eye on each individual's physical health, making referrals and arranging appointments as needed. Work with GPs, dentists, and other health professionals to ensure holistic care is in place.
- Supporting the Team: Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and mentorship to staff. Help with staff training — especially around clinical tasks, documentation, and learning disability-specific care. Offer supervision and encourage a learning culture where the team feels confident and supported.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance: Help the service stay compliant with CQC and other regulatory standards. Support with audits, inspections, and any action plans that follow. Make sure all documentation and records are accurate, up to date, and in line with best practice.
- Working with Families & Professionals: Build positive relationships with families and ensure they feel informed and involved. Work alongside social workers, community teams, and external professionals to support joined-up care.

- A genuine passion for helping others live safe, meaningful lives
