Why Choose a Career at Marula Support Services?

There are many care employers in Birmingham. Here is why our team members choose Marula β€” and why they stay.

A Team That Values You

At Marula, you are not a number on a rota. Every team member is known by name, supported by experienced managers and treated with the same respect and dignity we expect our carers to give to every client.

Full Training and Development

You will receive a comprehensive induction before you begin and ongoing training throughout your career with us β€” covering safeguarding, medication, manual handling, dementia, mental health, PBS and more.

Flexible Working Patterns

We understand that life does not follow a 9-to-5. We offer morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts, with both full-time and part-time hours available to suit your lifestyle and commitments.

Whether you want to develop into a senior support worker, care coordinator, team leader or care manager β€” we are committed to helping you grow. Many of our management team started as frontline carers.

Competitive Pay and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate, mileage allowance for travel between visits, paid training time, holiday pay and a pension scheme. We regularly review pay to ensure it reflects your skills and experience.

A Diverse and Inclusive Workplace

Our team reflects the communities we serve. We actively welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures and experiences. Diversity makes us stronger β€” and our clients better cared for.

People First, Always

We have built a workplace culture at Marula that mirrors the values at the heart of our care: compassion, consistency and genuine respect for every individual.

We know that happy, well-supported carers deliver the best care. That is why we invest in our team's wellbeing, keep communication open and honest, celebrate achievements and take the time to listen when things are difficult.

Open Communication

Regular team meetings, one-to-one supervisions and an open-door management policy. Your voice matters and your feedback shapes how we work.

We take staff wellbeing seriously β€” not just as a policy commitment, but as a daily practice. A supported team is a happy team, and a happy team changes lives.
