We are supporting a global banking organisation with the appointment of a Director to join its EMEA Operational Resilience function. This is a senior operational leadership role, not a change or transformation position. The core regulatory frameworks are in place; the focus is now on owning, operating and maturing operational resilience across EMEA on an ongoing basis.
The role includes:
- Director-level role within a central EMEA Operational Resilience team
- First line accountability for the operational resilience framework, policies and standards
- Ownership of key pillars including testing and business continuity
- Harmonisation of UK and European regulatory requirements, including DORA
- Senior engagement with Managing Directors and business heads, leading workshops and decisions independently
- Line management responsibility within a UK-based team, working closely with colleagues in Europe
About you:
- Demonstrable Director-level experience in Operational Resilience within banking
- Proven ability to operate credibly at MD level
- Strong working knowledge of resilience concepts (e.g. important business services, impact tolerances, testing, service mapping)
- Operational mindset, focused on embedding and oversight rather than programme delivery
