Martyn Gerrard is a long-established, professional estate agency operating in the North London area, covering all aspects of the property industry from Sales and Lettings to Commercial and New Homes. The large Property Management Department employs 10 property managers, 2 Account Assistants, and an administrator, and is led by the Head of Property Management. Due to the rapid growth, we are now looking for a new property manager to join the team. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for your own properties, yet work together as part of the team, assisting each other and receiving help as needed. We would prefer the successful candidate to be ARLA Qualified, but we will help the property manager to obtain this qualification if necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse portfolio of residential properties, ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee day-to-day property management activities, including repairs, maintenance, tenancy renewals, and rent collections.
- Conduct regular property inspections and liaise with landlords and tenants to resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, including tenancy agreements, compliance certificates, and insurance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and tenants, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Stay informed on industry changes and legal requirements, ensuring that all properties are managed in accordance with current regulations.
- Proven experience as a Property Manager, with at least 1+ years in residential lettings.
- Knowledge of property management legislation and regulations would be beneficial.
- ARLA qualifications or equivalent will be a bonus.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and contractors.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a high level of attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
