An established engineering company based in Kent is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Piping Design Engineer to join its growing design team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of industrial process plant projects from initial concept through to detailed design, supporting both new build and brownfield modifications across multiple sectors.
The Role Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for producing high quality piping and mechanical designs while supporting projects from survey through to manufacture and installation.
Responsibilities include: * Producing piping layouts, equipment arrangement drawings and piping isometrics. * Developing detailed 3D plant models using Autodesk Plant 3D. * Designing mechanical equipment and components using Autodesk Inventor. * Carrying out site surveys on existing industrial facilities. * Capturing and processing laser scan data for retrofit and brownfield projects. * Integrating point cloud information into Plant 3D models. * Coordinating with structural and electrical disciplines. * Carrying out model reviews and clash detection using Navisworks. * Producing accurate construction drawings and fabrication information. * Supporting installation teams and resolving technical design queries.
