Our client is looking for an experienced Integrated Management Systems Coordinator to take responsibility for the ongoing development and maintenance of its quality, environmental and health and safety
The role will focus on ensuring that company procedures remain effective, compliant and aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
You will work with colleagues throughout the business, helping departments follow agreed processes and ensuring the organisation remains prepared for internal, customer and external certification audits.
This opportunity would suit someone with experience in quality systems, compliance, auditing or QHSE who is comfortable taking ownership of an integrated management system within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and continually improve the company’s integrated management system
- Support continued compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Plan, conduct and record internal audits across different departments
- Coordinate preparations for external, customer and certification audits
- Maintain policies, procedures, forms and other controlled documentation
- Monitor non-conformances, corrective actions and improvement activities
- Assist departments with identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Maintain environmental, quality and health and safety compliance records
- Support risk assessments and the review of workplace procedures
- Monitor relevant legislation, industry requirements and compliance obligations
- Coordinate management reviews and prepare supporting reports and information
- Monitor agreed objectives, performance measures and improvement plans
- Promote a positive approach to quality, safety and environmental responsibility
- Provide practical guidance to managers and employees on company processes
- Support training and awareness relating to the management system
- The successful candidate
- Previous experience working with an integrated management system, quality system or QHSE framework
- Good working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ideally ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Experience supporting or carrying out internal audits
- Strong document-control and record-management skills
- An understanding of non-conformance, corrective action and root-cause processes
- Confident communicating with employees, managers and external auditors
- Able to manage priorities and follow actions through to completion
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, organised approach
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for compliance activities
Desirable experience
- Previous experience within engineering, manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment
- Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training
- IOSH, NEBOSH or a relevant quality, environmental or health and safety qualification
- Experience preparing a business for external ISO certification audits
- Knowledge of environmental and workplace health and safety legislation
- Experience supporting continuous-improvement initiatives
