Join Our Family and Make Every Day Meaningful

At Marton Care Homes, we're proud to be a family‑run organisation built on compassion, respect, and a genuine commitment to enriching the lives of the people we support. Our home in the heart of Choppington, Northumberland, is a warm and welcoming community where residents, families, and colleagues come together to create a true sense of belonging. Surrounded by a friendly village atmosphere and strong local connections, we believe that great care is about more than meeting needs, it's about creating meaningful moments, maintaining cherished relationships, and ensuring every resident feels valued, included, and able to enjoy life to the fullest. We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Wellbeing Lead to join our family and help make each day special for the people who call our home their own.

About the Role

As our Wellbeing Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting residents' emotional, social, and physical wellbeing through engaging activities and meaningful experiences. You will help create a vibrant and stimulating environment where residents can continue enjoying the hobbies, interests, and activities they love.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to individual interests, abilities, and preferences
  • Supporting residents to maintain existing hobbies and discover new interests
  • Organising social events, seasonal celebrations, themed days, and community activities
  • Encouraging social interaction and meaningful engagement throughout the home
  • Building positive relationships with residents, relatives, and the wider community
  • Arranging outings and trips that promote wellbeing and enjoyment
  • Working closely with care colleagues to support residents' individual wellbeing goals
  • Maintaining activity records and evaluating engagement to ensure activities remain meaningful and person‑centred

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

  • Warm, approachable, and naturally positive
  • Passionate about enhancing the lives of older people
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and full of ideas
  • Organised and confident in planning activities and events
  • A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships
  • Flexible and willing to support occasional weekend events when required
  • Experienced within care, wellbeing, hospitality, education, community, or activity‑based roles (desirable but not essential)

Most importantly, you'll share our values and genuinely care about making a positive difference every day.

What We Offer

Working at Marton Care Homes means becoming part of a supportive and caring family where every team member is valued.

In return, we offer:

  • A friendly and welcoming workplace
  • Full induction and ongoing training opportunities
  • Supportive management and colleagues
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development
  • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day
  • The chance to build meaningful relationships with residents and their families

Why Join Us?

The most meaningful moments often come from the simplest things: a shared laugh, a favourite song, a trip out in the community, or helping someone reconnect with treasured memories. As our Wellbeing Lead, you'll have the opportunity to create those moments every day while being part of a caring, family‑focused team that puts residents at the heart of everything we do.

If you're looking for a rewarding role where your creativity, kindness, and enthusiasm can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
