Our client is looking for someone to have at least 4-6 years’ experience of Project finance transactions, as a member of front office team, or someone that has experience working within Credit Risk Management within the Project Finance team, gained within a reputable Bank.

Principle Purpose of the Job:

  • To conduct due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions.
  • To monitor existing project finance transactions.

Principle Elements of the Job:

  • To assist conducting Due Diligence (credit analysis) of new project finance transactions and to monitor existing project finance transactions the Branch invested.
  • To put internal credit ratings on project finance transactions regularly and on an ad-hoc basis (if a credit event occurs).
  • To attend lender meetings for monitoring purposes if needed.
  • To create an internal authorisation process to get approval by Branch’s management when a borrower issues a consent request for lenders.
  • To assist a deal closing team in Structured Finance Division, such as KYC when closing the transactions, funding requests to the Branch’s treasury, and drawdown over the course of loan life.
  • To conduct research on various topics and produce reports such as regulatory framework in the EU area related to the Branch credit portfolio as and when required on an ad-hoc basis.
  • To understand the Bank’s credit risk management framework, especially the Bank’s Internal Rating System.
  • To attend meetings with relevant stakeholders such as borrowers, sponsors, and FAs if needed.
  • To support the front team in Structured Finance Division to conduct due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions and to make investment proposals for Branch’s credit committee.
  • To manage the documentation process of project finance transactions with Branch’s legal team.
  • To assist the senior manager with internal Branch reporting when required.
  • To update the Policy & Procedures of Structured Finance Division as and when needed.
  • To conduct regular/occasional internal self-checks.
  • To provide general clerical support to the Senior Manager.
  • Such other duties as the management may, from time to time, reasonably require.

Salary: £75,000 k pa - £93,000 k pa, plus bonus, excellent pension, healthcare and other related benefits.
