Structured Finance Analyst, Structured Finance Department (Project Finance) – City of London Based, Global Foreign Bank
Martis Search is representing a City of London based international foreign bank to hire a permanent Structured Finance Analyst.

Experience in analysis or monitoring of European/UK social infrastructure, renewables, and digital infrastructure within front office/credit risk would be ideal.

The role is a mix of hybrid "working-from-home" and office. For the initial one month you are required to be in the office five days per week to receive full training and onboarding.

Your experience should be at least 2–3 years in project finance transactions as a member of a front office team or as a credit reviewer in the credit risk management area.

Principal Purpose of the Job
There are two main purposes: 1) Monitor existing project finance transactions that have construction or financial difficulties; 2) Conduct the entire due diligence (credit analysis) process for new project finance transactions in any existing or new sectors.

Principal Elements of the Job

Conduct full due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions and make independent investment proposals for the Branch's credit committee and head office credit committees.

Manage the documentation process of project finance transactions with the Branch's legal team.

Monitor existing Branch‐invested project finance transactions, especially those facing construction, operation, or financial difficulties, and coordinate with the credit department, other internal risk departments, external auditors, and financial regulators.

Assign internal credit ratings to project finance transactions regularly and on an ad‐hoc basis if a credit event occurs.

Attend lender meetings for monitoring purposes when required.

Obtain approvals from Branch management for borrower consent requests for lenders, following the internal authorisation process.

Conduct research on various topics and produce reports on new sectors or countries, and on the regulatory framework in Europe related to the Branch credit portfolio as needed on an ad‐hoc basis.

Understand the Bank's credit risk management framework, especially its internal rating system.

Participate in meetings with stakeholders such as borrowers, sponsors, and financial advisors for deal sourcing and monitoring.

Assist a middle‐back team in the Structured Finance Department with KYC at closing, funding requests to the Branch's treasury, and drawdowns throughout the loan life.

Assist the senior manager with internal Branch reporting when required.

Update the policy & procedures of the Structured Finance Department as needed and conduct regular or occasional internal self‐checks.

Provide general administrative support to senior management.

Qualifications

Minimum 2–3 years' experience in project finance transactions as a front office team member or credit reviewer.
