Martis Search are representing a City of London based International Foreign Bank to hire a permanent "Japanese speaking Operations Projects/Business Analyst" who has worked on specific Operations projects. Our client is looking for an experienced Banking "Japanese speaking Operations Business Analyst" with a solid background in Operations projects.
The role reports into the Head of Operations in London. The purpose of the role is to work closely with Senior Operations Managers to support and enhance BAU by understanding internal Policy & Procedure (P&P), identifying pain points, troubleshooting settlement issues, analysing data, recommending solutions, and updating workflows. Responsibilities include preparing reports, management information packs, and documentation.
Role responsibilities:
- Analyse and support BAU
- Assist the Senior Manager (SM) to improve company efficiency and effectiveness by understanding internal P&P, identifying pain points from the OP team, analysing data, providing assistance, and recommending solutions.
- Bridge the gap between strategic goals and daily operations, focusing on optimising processes, systems, and workflows.
- Record investigations and share findings with the OP team as study sessions.
- Communicate with the in-charge team, OP managers, and related departments during incidents and form incident reports.
- Draft P&P revisions and RCSA changes for OP supervisors and managers to confirm.
- Support OP projects by working with OP managers, expats, and related team members.
- Liaise with Head Office as necessary.
Requirements:
- Document and validate business requirements and user stories from stakeholders in Operations.
- Process Analysis: Map existing trade settlement processes, identify gaps, and propose improvements.
- System Implementation: Support the implementation and integration of new settlements platforms and technologies.
- Testing and Validation: Collaborate with the AD Department to develop test plans and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify and report risks, issues, and dependencies within the settlement process.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various departments and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
- Knowledge Transfer: Create documentation and provide training to business users.
Project Management:
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions and report to OP SM.
- Liaise with other Departments and OP team staff for projects/tasks.
General Tasks:
- Independent Approval of Static Data.
- Preparation of Mi Reports.
- Incident & Error Investigation & Reporting.
- Tracking of Audit Findings.
- Analysis of New Systems, Products & Services.
- Change Management.
The role is a mix of hybrid working-from-home and in the office, but for the initial 1-month of the contract, you will be required to be in the office 5 days per week for training and onboarding.
Systems: Some experience or knowledge of OPICS, SWIFT, EasyWay, and LoanIQ is ideal but not essential.
IT Skills: Preferably familiar with advanced Excel or VBA skills.
Salary: £70,000 - £83,000 per annum, plus bonus, pension, private healthcare, lunch vouchers, and other benefits.
