Martis Search are representing a West End based, but global Investment institution to urgently hire a permanent Loans Documentation/ Loans Middle Office Associate level to work within a busy department.
Due to increasing volumes of Bilateral Loans trades, our client is needing someone who can bridge the gap between the Loans Operations team and Front Office regarding Loans Documentation matters. Our client is looking for an SME Loans Documentation/ Loans Middle Office SME to join their team. This is working in an excellent, small but growing Loans Operations department that offers excellent work-life balance and hybrid working.
- Operational Review of Legal Documentation
- Review draft facility agreements, security documents, and ancillary loan documentation to ensure operational feasibility and administrative accuracy.
- Identify operational risks, inconsistencies, or impractical terms and provide clear, actionable feedback to Deal Teams and Legal.
- Work closely with Legal and deal team during drafting and negotiation to ensure operational considerations are incorporated.
- Provide timely commentary on documentation to support alignment with credit approval terms.
- Participate in closing discussions and documentation reviews to ensure readiness for administration.
- Support the setup of new loan instruments, including bank account verification, system configuration, and onboarding of facility terms.
- Produce reporting for Investment Teams on upcoming events, overdue items, and documentation-related risks.
- Previous experience in loan administration, loan operations, or documentation support.
- Strong understanding of loan facility structures, financial instruments, and operational mechanics.
- Ability to interpret legal agreements and identify operational implications.
- Previous experience working with loan or portfolio administration systems, ideally eFront.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- You will have experience within Administration, or Operations (i.e. Payment, Data, Client Services, Loans, Reporting) and be available to start ASAP.
- Perform administration duties related to initial investment transactions, e.g. bank account set up, call backs to confirm bank details and setting up the instrument.
- Monitor for receipt of periodic reports from investees and produce reporting for Investment Teams on outstanding items. Monitor the team inbox, assisting with ad-hoc queries, analysis and reporting.
- Work with the Loan Administration Team Leader as a Subject Matter Expert on the ‘eFront for Loans’ project.
- Review facility documentation against existing system records to identify and address booking issues.
- Conduct reconciliations to validate that new system functionality delivers expected results.
