Martis Search are representing a West End based, but global Asset Management company to hire an Associate to join their Investment Operations Middle Office for a 12-month FTC. This is an excellent opportunity for an established, but growing West End based Institutional Asset Manager.
The role reports into the Head of Investment Operations Middle Office & Fund Accounting, providing an excellent opportunity to learn from the Head of Operations, as well as other stakeholders in the business, such as senior Operations Managers and team members. The Head of Operations is knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable, willing to share their wealth of knowledge with the chosen incumbent.
The role will involve various manual processing tasks daily. Over time, there will be more automation with their existing OMS, but candidates need to be able to cope with manual Portfolio Administration, Fund Administration, and Fund Accounting tasks. Responsibilities include:
- Manual Payments processing
- Cash Reconciliations
- Working with NAVs/Valuations on a range of Equity, Private Equity, and Fund-of-Funds every quarter
Full on-the-job training will be provided.
Our client is open-minded and is happy to consider:
- A graduate calibre with 6 months to 1 year’s Portfolio Administration, Fund Administration, or Fund Accounting experience gained from a Financial Services company such as within Asset Management, global Custodian, or Fund Administrator.
- A graduate calibre (2025/2026 graduate with a numerate or STEM subject) with an amazing attitude looking to gain 1 year’s Investment Operations/Fund Administration experience within Asset Management/Financial Services.
- A Part-Qualified Fund Accountant with some experience in Portfolio Administration, Fund Administration, or Fund Accounting experience gained from a Financial Services company.
Key skills required include logical thinking and exemplary communication skills, with the confidence to approach senior Operations Managers and Fund Managers face-to-face to gather information. Our client seeks someone with a willingness to learn and who does not consider any work-related task beneath them.
