Martis Search are representing a City of London based boutique Banking organisation to hire a permanent SME to join their Asset Finance Syndicate & Sales department. This is a broad Asset Finance Syndicate & Sales Front Office role, ideal for a graduate‑calibre candidate with 2–5 years’ experience in Asset Finance or Project Finance. The client is also open to candidates from Front Office Origination (Loans) backgrounds who are keen to move into and develop within Project Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the distribution and placement of primary and secondary positions, including underwriting transactions across asset finance (project and transport finance).
  • Assist in the assessment of marketability and liquidity of the transaction, including preparation of syndication opinion in support of the credit application process relating to new underwriting and arranging mandates.
  • Contribute to the execution of syndication, true sale transactions and risk transfers.
  • Support the preparation of marketing materials including teasers and investor memos.
  • Assist in internal pricing analysis and distribution strategy discussions.
  • Work with origination teams on transactions structuring to enhance distribution outcomes.
  • Support the management and development of bank distribution channels and institutional investor relationships.
  • Contribute to portfolio and RWA optimisation initiatives.
  • Maintain transaction pipeline tracking and internal reporting.
  • Assist with the customer due diligence and on-boarding. Ensure timely performance of ongoing KYC checks and compliance with AML policies including system updates.
  • Liaising with internal teams, including loans administration, credit, legal, treasury and compliance to facilitate lending business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Syndicate & Sales / Loan Distribution is essential.
  • 2-5 years of experience in banking, credit or structured finance.
  • Good understanding of credit products, loan structures and distribution dynamics.
  • Preferred, but not essential: Exposure to project finance, infrastructure or transport finance, understanding of risk transfer mechanism.
  • MS Office, syndication related platforms such as debtdomain.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Proactive and reliable with a willingness to take ownership.
