The Role
Head of Compliance (SMF 16 & SMF 17)
Martis Search are representing an established London based Banking organisation to hire a permanent “Head of Compliance (SMF 16 & SMF 17).”
This is an excellent “Head of Compliance” role and our client has stated that you must either currently hold both the SMF 16 & SMF 17 FCA Control functions, or have held them in the last couple of years (with the view of reapplying to hold them again).
The role will be both 100 % hand-on, but also senior and strategic as you not only face off the FCA, but are also going to be accountable to them and for all related Compliance in London (as you will be their SMF 16 & SMF 17).
The position will be responsible for their Compliance Oversight function (SMF 16) and their and Money Laundering Reporting function (SMF 17).
Our client needs either a “Senior Compliance Manager”, or “Head of Compliance” level “Generalist Compliance” experience either gained from a UK “FCA Registered” Banking background gained from a reputable Bank (and one ideally that has exposure to a European subsidiary).
The company offer a hybrid mix of “working-from-home” and also “in-the-office”, so you get the best of both worlds.
Strong understanding of different Compliance Regulations such as:
- FCA handbook – you must have a strong understanding and interpretation of and understand where to navigate through it.
- AML Regulations.
- GDPR.
