The role is a 6-month temporary maternity-cover position, with the possibility to be extended or to go permanent. This is an entry-level position suitable for school leavers or graduates with a 2:2 looking for a career in Operations.
The company is based in The City of London and has global locations. The position sits within a sub-division of their Cash Management Operations teams and relates to Operations support for their business.
The role is hybrid, allowing employees to work from home for 8 days within a 4-week period. The company offers great overtime rates and a pension, providing a friendly and secure working environment.
Job Purpose: To ensure all clients’ cash instructions are processed accurately and timely in line with sub-custodian and reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all client instructions (cash and FX) are processed within the company’s systems in a timely and accurate manner.
- Update client portfolios promptly and accurately to dispatch reports/SWIFT advice within specified deadlines.
- Assist with the prompt investigation and resolution of inquiries relating to cash management to ensure overall client satisfaction.
- Identify areas for improvement within the Cash Management team and assist in testing/implementation of relevant changes to mitigate operational risk.
- Report operational errors to Transaction Processing’s Senior Officer, Assistant Manager, and/or Head of Department within 24 hours of identification.
- Carry out other duties as requested by Transaction Processing’s Senior Officer, Assistant Manager, and/or Head of Department.
Qualifications and Experience:
- GCSEs including Maths and English.
- A good understanding of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
- A first-class professional approach with high attention to detail, organisation, self-motivation, and eagerness to learn.
- Strong team player, always prepared to assist colleagues.
Salary: Up to £14.57 per hour as a flat-rate including holiday pay, plus overtime.
