Martis Search is representing a global, City of London based Trading company to hire a permanent Futures & Options/ ETD – Client Reporting & Management Information Reporting Analyst. In our opinion, this is one of the best Futures Operations roles we have seen this year and also in one of the best Futures Operations teams to work for in London. The team are super-collaborative, genuinely work to help each other out, driven to achieve and take their Operations careers seriously. The management team are supportive and the team is also really sociable and they like to celebrate their hard work, so it is a nice team to work within, as everyone helps each other and genuinely get on.
The company trades high volume Futures & Options/ ETD’s with their global Institutional clients. The role reports into a senior Operations Manager and supports global Institutional clients (Investment Banks, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Prop Trading organisations etc), Utility companies and global Commodity Trading companies.
Our client is looking for someone with a minimum of 3-years Futures & Options/ ETD’s Operations experience, either within a Futures Clearing, Futures Static Data, Reporting, literally anything Futures Operations related, but as long as the chosen incumbent has Advanced Level SQL experience and is able to use SQL to this level every day (to work with large Data sets, to extract and manipulate Data from systems etc). You will be working with a large number of Futures & Options/ ETD’s Trade data sets. Our client’s client base is growing, so too are their Reporting demands. This means that our client is having to offer more complex, bespoke and specific Client Reporting demands from a large portion of their client base.
A lot of the Reporting is automated and generic. However, some of their larger (high spending clients) have specific Client Reporting demands and for reports to be formatted in a certain way, with certain fields done to their specific requirements. Some of these bespoke reports can act as long-term and ongoing projects over months between the client and the team to give the client their exact requirements.
This is also a client-facing role, where alongside the Front Office Sales and Trading teams, Relationship Management team, you will have regular face-to-face, Teams/ Zoom Video meetings, or telephone calls to work directly with the clients. This means, as well as having strong technical Futures Data Reporting experience with SQL, you will also have good client facing skills, in both written form, as well as via face-to-face meetings, or telephone calls.
This is a strategic role focused on delivering customised, high-volume reporting solutions for institutional and retail clients — including algorithmic trading firms — who rely on precision and speed in their post-trade data. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to build bespoke reports that enhance transparency, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. Experience with ION Web (ARC/ DTS) and SQL is highly desirable, along with a solid understanding of Futures and Options markets. Having an all-round with technology and coding/ working with large Data sets is also highly advantageous i.e. Python coding (alongside SQL and the relevant Futures and Options experience). Also keeping up-to-date with newer technology packages such as Ai to automate processes/ having a curious and problem-solving way of thinking of how the Reporting can be continually improved is also key.

- Design and deliver customised reports for new and existing clients across clearing and post-trade workflows
- Collaborate with sales/clients to understand their data needs, trading strategies, and reporting preferences
- Translate complex clearing data into actionable insights, ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Work with internal stakeholders (Operations, Technology, Sales) to support onboarding and reporting enhancements
