An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven, hands-on recruiter to join a fast-growing organisation and take ownership of in-house recruitment delivery across multiple functions. If you thrive on sourcing, outreach, screening, momentum and variety, and enjoy working at pace, this role will suit you perfectly.
This is not a strategic Talent Acquisition or HR project position. This is a true delivery role-ideal for a high-performing agency recruiter or an agency-trained in-house recruiter who enjoys finding, engaging and progressing candidates every day.
You will work onsite with leadership and operational teams, managing a steady flow of vacancies while building relationships, advising stakeholders and ensuring consistent quality throughout the recruitment process.
As Head of Recruitment, you will be the organisation's core in-house recruiter, responsible for bringing in high-quality candidates across a broad range of roles. This includes commercial and sales positions, operations, support, finance, marketing, technology and graduate recruitment.
You will:
- Source proactively through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, market mapping and outreach campaigns
- Engage passive candidates, presenting opportunities with clarity and commercial insight
- Run screening calls that quickly assess communication skills, cultural alignment, commercial potential and role suitability
- Manage multiple live vacancies at once, maintaining pace and organisation across competing priorities
- Build active talent pipelines for recurring role types
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, understanding hiring needs and advising on candidate profiles
- Support graduate recruitment cycles, screening applicants and identifying strong high-potential individuals
- Maintain a high standard of candidate experience, communication and follow-through
- Strengthen internal recruitment processes by bringing best-practice approaches from agency and direct sourcing environments
This is a highly involved, hands-on position where your judgement and sourcing skill will directly influence organisational growth.
To excel in this role, you will be:
- A confident and commercially aware recruiter, ideally with a strong foundation in agency or 360 recruitment
- Authentic, articulate and persuasive when speaking with candidates at all levels
- Skilled at identifying potential and assessing behavioural/soft skills rapidly
- Comfortable making independent decisions on candidate progression
- Motivated by fast pace, ownership and outcomes
- Able to manage multiple roles simultaneously without losing quality or control
- Creative and persistent in your search methods, not reliant on inbound applications
- Resilient, positive and energised by working in a high-growth, evolving environment
You should bring:
- 5+ years' UK recruitment experience
- Strong track record in sourcing and shortlisting candidates directly
- Experience recruiting across different functions (sales or commercial roles advantageous)
- Confidence managing a consistent flow of vacancies and maintaining proactive pipelines
- Clear communication style and exceptional organisational capability
Why This Opportunity Will Appeal:
- A chance to step out of agency KPIs while keeping the sourcing-focused recruitment you enjoy
- End-to-end ownership of roles, from outreach to shortlist
- The ability to influence real business outcomes through the quality and speed of your hiring
- A commercially driven environment where pace, energy and initiative are valued
- Direct visibility with senior stakeholders
- No waiting for approvals or layers of TA hierarchy
- Structured salary model that mirrors agency OTE earnings-but with greater stability and security
Essential Requirements:
- Office based, 5 days per week
- UK recruitment experience only
- No visa sponsorship available
- Must be eligible to work and live in the UK
- Ability to commute reliably to Northampton
Salary & Benefits:
- £65,000-£75,000 basic salary depending on experience
- Annual performance bonus (OTE up to c. £85K)
- Private healthcare
- Additional benefits package
- Clear progression opportunities in a growing organisation
If you are motivated by impact, ownership and delivery, this role offers the chance to shape recruitment within a fast-moving business that values people who act, communicate well and get results. If you enjoy the hands-on side of recruitment-mapping markets, identifying prospects, selling opportunities, running compelling screens and keeping processes moving-this is the environment where you will thrive.
