We are partnering with a global digital engineering organisation seeking an exceptional Business Development Director to drive new business growth in the Spanish market. This is a first-on-the-ground role offering significant strategic influence, ownership and long-term leadership potential.

Our client is a well-established digital engineering and product development organisation with more than 2,000 specialists worldwide. For over 25 years, they have delivered end-to-end digital solutions to global brands across Financial Services, Retail, E-commerce, Travel, Media, Technology and other innovation-led sectors. They specialise in engineered digital products, bespoke software development, cloud-native applications, mobile solutions, digital modernisation, UX/UI design and advanced technology initiatives including AI and data.
About the Role
This is a pure hunter, new-logo acquisition role focused on Spain. You will:
- Build and manage a high-value pipeline of enterprise prospects
- Target decision-makers such as CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Heads of Digital, Heads of Product and Engineering Directors
- Lead a consultative, multi-stakeholder sales process
- Shape solution proposals with technical leads and pre-sales teams
- Deliver compelling pitches and win new revenue
- Prospect via networking, outreach, events, cold approaches and personal relationships
- Represent the organisation in the Spanish FinTech/FS, Retail, E-commerce, Travel, Media and Technology sectors
- Operate autonomously while collaborating with global sales and delivery teams
This is a strategic role requiring maturity, commercial judgement and a deep understanding of the digital engineering space.
What We Are Looking For
Essential experience:
- 5-15 years in B2B sales or business development
- Strong tenure (no frequent moves; ideally 3-5 years per employer)
- Proven hunter with a track record of acquiring new enterprise clients
- Experience selling custom software development or digital engineering services
- Strong network and sales experience within Spain (Financial Services experience highly advantageous)
- Ability to engage senior technology and digital stakeholders
- Strong understanding of digital product development and engineering delivery models
- Fluent Spanish and English

- Commercially strong with excellent communication and influencing skills

Rewards & Benefits
