The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The role includes but is not limited to the following:
- Family law matters including separation, divorce and financial remedy proceedings
- Domestic abuse and domestic violence injunctions
- TOLATA claims
- Drafting legal documentation including Cohabitation Agreements and Prenuptial Agreements
- Meeting with clients in office meeting rooms and/or remotely, as required
- Financial control, with particular regard to cash flow through the collection of monies on account and adherence to billing procedures
- Providing assistance to other fee earners within the office or Firm as required, particularly during periods of sickness and or other absence
- Minimising risk in dealing with all work and ensuring that all files are managed in accordance with the Firm’s risk management and file management procedures
- Carrying out all work in accordance with the procedures and systems documented in the Office Manual and the Firm’s training requirements
- Supervision of fee earning work undertaken by colleagues, where appropriate
The Candidate
To be successful in your application, you will possess the following attributes:
- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent
- Proven experience across all aspects of family law
- Likely to be 2 years PQE or above, although this is a guide only
- Ability to manage your own caseload with or without support staff
- Competent use of the Firm’s practice and case management systems
- Willingness to assist with the marketing and profile raising of the department
- Ability to bill clients in accordance with notified charging rates and time recorded on client files
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dependable and adaptable, with a professional and client focused approach
