To work in our Employment Department based at our Telford Office. Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.00pm.

About Martin Kaye LLP: Martin Kaye LLP is a modern and forward-thinking legal practice with offices in Telford, Wolverhampton, Wem and Shrewsbury. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated legal professional to join our Employment team dealing with a varied contentious caseload of Employment Tribunal matters (predominantly Respondent defence) in conjunction with advising national SME and professional sector clients subscribing to our Alpha HR and Employment law support service.

Alpha is an innovative nationwide Employment law and HR support service. Our objective is to provide Alpha clients with employment and HR advice that is both commercial and solution orientated, in conjunction with bespoke documentation and on-site attendances (to include co-chairing employee hearings) and delivering HR training to Managers.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Proven track record of operating a diverse Employment Tribunal caseload, accounting for circa 25% to 30% of the role.
  • Experience in providing HR and Employment Law advice to Employers will be key.
  • Generally, the role will entail responsibility for circa 20 to 25 retained business clients, comprising predominantly independent schools, etc.

Additional information:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of operating a diverse Employment Tribunal caseload, work with Alpha clients, and provide employment law and HR support aligned with client needs.
