The predicted salary is between 23874 - 28019 £ per year.
Hours of work: Various set shifts available (16-24 hours per week), working on a three-week rota, working 1 weekend in 3. Hours of work between 07:00 and 18:00hrs depending on agreed shifts.
Martin House provides free specialist palliative care to babies, children and young people with complex and life-shortening conditions. Families from across West, North and East Yorkshire have access to our care 24/7, 365 days a year, including specialist doctors. Every year we care for more than 550 families, at the hospice, in hospital and in families’ own homes, as well as supporting around 200 bereaved family members.
We have an amazing opportunity for enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our dedicated Housekeeping team supporting the running of the hospice. Working on a three-week rota, the successful candidates will deliver cleaning to all hospice buildings for both care and non-care areas, ensuring CQC standards are met.
The role will involve:
- Working in a fast-paced, friendly environment undertaking activities such as vacuuming and mopping
- High- and low-level dusting and polishing
- Use of floor cleaners, steam cleaner and/or other cleaning equipment
- Washing of bedding
- Kitchen duties such as loading and unloading dishwashers, cleaning ovens, washing pans and setting tables
- Cleaning/making up of bedrooms and cleaning ensuite bathrooms
- Deep cleaning of clinical areas
