Join the award-winning retail team at Martin House Children's Hospice and help make a real difference to children and families across Yorkshire.

Martin House provides free specialist palliative care to babies, children and young people with complex and life-shortening conditions.

Families from across West, North and East Yorkshire have access to our care 24/7, 365 days a year, including specialist doctors.

Every year we care for more than 550 families, at the hospice, in hospital and in families’ own homes, as well as supporting around 200 bereaved family members.

We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Bank Assistant Shop Managers to support our Yeadon shop, covering holidays, planned leave and occasional short-notice absences.

This is a flexible, zero-hours opportunity that allows you to work around other commitments whilst supporting an incredible cause.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop
  • Helping maximise sales and donations
  • Creating an attractive and inviting shopping environment
  • Ensuring high standards of presentation, safety and stock management
  • Representing Martin House and our values within the local community

What We're Looking For You'll be someone who

  • Enjoys working with people and building positive relationships
  • Has retail experience or experience leading a team
  • Is enthusiastic about supporting a local charity
  • Can work independently and use their initiative
  • Is flexible and able to cover shifts when required
  • Shares our values of compassion, excellent, respect and integrity.
