At Martin House, we provide free specialist palliative care for babies, children and young people with complex and life‑shortening conditions.

Supporting families across West, North and East Yorkshire, our care is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, delivered with compassion, expertise and a commitment to excellence.

Each year, we support more than 550 families at our hospice, in hospitals and in their own homes, as well as providing ongoing support to around 200 bereaved families.

With our newly opened children's wing and dedicated teenager and young adult facility now welcoming young people, there has never been a more exciting time to join us as a member of our care team.

Our state‑of‑the‑art facilities have been thoughtfully designed to provide outstanding care and create the very best experience for children, young people and their families.

These include dedicated wellbeing suites, family spaces and a specialist hydrotherapy pool, offering opportunities for relaxation, symptom management, therapy and quality time together.

As a care team member, as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver one‑to‑one, holistic, family‑centred care in an environment that enables you to spend meaningful time with those you support.

You'll work alongside skilled and compassionate colleagues who are committed to upholding our values of Excellence, Respect, Compassion and Integrity in everything they do.

• Key Requirements
• Committed to Martin House’s values – Excellence, Respect, Integrity and Compassion.
• Prior experience of working in a care setting, preferably with children and young adults.

Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs would be advantageous.

• Outstanding care skills with a focus on empathy, compassion, and active listening.
• Proficiency with a range of IT systems.
• Ability to document clear and concise details of care routines and practice.
• Good level of education including GCSE’s (grade 4/C or above) including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Will have access to a vehicle for business use and be able to drive a Martin House Pool car.

Salary

£27,469.75 – £32,828.91 per annum pro rata (Starting salaries usually start at the bottom of the scale)
