Martin House provides free specialist palliative care to babies, children and young people with complex and life-shortening conditions. Families from across West, North and East Yorkshire have access to our care 24/7, 365 days a year, including specialist doctors. Every year we care for more than 550 families, at the hospice, in hospital and in families’ own homes, as well as supporting around 200 bereaved family members.

We are seeking a new member to join our clinical administration team on either a full or part time basis.

The role will involve:

  • Providing a broad range of administrative support to a large multidisciplinary care team.
  • Managing the family bookings system, liaising with families to book their respite stays.
  • Preparing and distributing clinical documentation.
  • Maintaining and updating accurate patient records in SystmOne, ensuring data quality and completeness.
  • Coordinating communication between clinical teams, families and external professionals.
  • Taking minutes and recording and receiving actions at multidisciplinary internal and external meetings.
  • Coordinating the distribution of invitations and managing RSVP responses for events, group functions, and meetings with care professionals, ensuring accurate communication and organisation.

Our ideal candidate will

  • Be able to use a full suite of Microsoft Office software systems.
  • Have experience of using patient records system SystmOne.
  • Have demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role in a busy environment where you are required to multi-task.
  • Be highly organised, flexible and proactive, with strong attention to detail, excellent time management and multitasking abilities, and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Salary

    £26931.13 - £32185.20 per annum. Please note starting salaries usually start at the bottom of the scale.
