Looking for your next opportunity? Look no further. We\βre searching for a skilled Vehicle and Plant Technician to join our friendly team. In this role, you\βll help keep our mobile and static plant equipment/vehicles running at their best, ensuring they\βre repaired and back in service as quickly as possible. If you enjoy taking ownership of your work, you\βll have the freedom to perform diagnostics and determine the best approach to maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses and choosing the right repair techniques.
- Daily routine running repairs
- Plant servicing/inspections (including tractors and tankers)
- HGV running repairs
- LCV running repairs
- Working independently to maintain and repair plant equipment and components on site with a service van
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or the equivalent level workplace experience
- First class diagnostic skills and fully conversant with the latest plant repair and maintenance techniques
- Ability to manage own workload and work to the highest standards
- Flexible and proactive in approach
- HGV Category C license would be beneficial but is not essential
- Full driving licence is required due to our remote location and to be able to travel to other sites
- Please note that due to the working location you will be required to complete BPSS clearance
- Hours: 40 hours per week based on a day shift
Qualifications
- A relevant City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or the equivalent level of workplace experience
- Good diagnostic skills and familiarity with the latest plant repair and maintenance techniques
- Ability to work independently and to high standards
- Flexible and proactive in approach
Hours and Benefits
- Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00β16:00 (shift flexibility possible). Saturday morning work may be required as and when required. Overtime may be required when needed.
