Purpose of the Role
Create models and drawings using 3D CAD programs for fabrication and customer submittal packages.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Translate mechanical piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to 3D models
- Create customer layout drawings from 3D models
- Create fabrication drawings from 3D models
- Revise existing 3D models
- Revise existing drawings
- Sizing and design of mechanical systems
- Review physical equipment during construction
- Support manufacturing and service during production/commissioning
- Adhere to company and client engineering standards and procedures
- Communicate with contractors and customers using clear verbal and written communication
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma
- Drafting associate’s degree or certificate from a trade school or college preferred
- May substitute for relevant experience
Experience
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Basic understanding of mechanical assembly
