Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of the Electrical Designer is to provide electrical drafting services, including power system drawings and industrial control system drawings, for packaged generator sets, biogas digesters, and renewable natural gas upgrading systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create and update design drawing, including electrical one-lines, three-lines, control diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Generate detailed BOMs (Bills of Materials) for electrical designs.
  • Adhere to company and client engineering standards and procedures.
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with local and national electrical codes and standards.
  • Communicate with contractors and customers using clear verbal and written communication.

Requirements

Education
High School Diploma preferred or relevant experience.

Experience
Preferred: 2+ years of professional experience in electrical designer role, ideally in power generation, industrial systems, or related energy applications.
Familiarity with the National Electric Code for designing electrical systems.
Experience using Eplan for design projects.

Skills
Solid understanding of electrical circuits theory (electrical circuits, components, wiring standards, and the National Electrical Code).
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to interpret technical specifications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical details to peers.
Focus and attention to detail for complex electrical systems.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Familiar with UL508A Industrial Control Panel design requirements.
