Position Summary: As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will play an important role in leading warehouse operations and supporting a team of warehouse colleagues through the night shift to achieve operational goals safely and efficiently. You will help ensure productivity, service, quality, and compliance standards are consistently met while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the ongoing development of colleagues across the operation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and support warehouse shift teams to achieve operational, productivity, accuracy, and service objectives.
  • Plan resources and labour effectively to ensure workloads are managed efficiently and business needs are met.
  • Foster a positive team culture through regular communication, coaching, training, and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across operations and support functions to identify improvements and resolve operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, food hygiene, employment legislation, and company policies.

Qualifications Who You Are:

  • You have experience leading or supervising teams within a warehouse, logistics, FMCG, or similar operational environment.
  • You enjoy supporting and developing others, creating an inclusive environment where people feel valued and empowered.
  • You are organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance operational priorities and resource planning effectively.
  • You communicate clearly and build positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.

  • You take a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • You have an understanding of performance management, health and safety requirements, and operational compliance standards.
  • Experience within a unionised environment or knowledge of employment legislation would be beneficial but is not essential.
