Why This Role?
As a natural collaborator and mentor, you'll lead facilities and maintenance operations across our complex Coventry Distribution Centre, helping to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for colleagues, customers, and visitors. Working closely with site leadership, contractors, and operational teams, you'll oversee both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities, supporting business continuity and the reliable operation of critical building services and plant equipment. You will play a key role in fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every voice is heard, while driving high standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery through teamwork and collaboration.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our distribution centre, ensuring facilities, building services, refrigeration systems, utilities, and plant equipment are maintained to a high standard.
- Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes and coordinate reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Utilise CAFM systems to manage maintenance schedules, asset records, compliance documentation, and audit readiness.
- Develop strong partnerships with contractors and service providers, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time, and in line with agreed standards.
- Collaborate with site leadership teams to deliver facilities improvements, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.
- Support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legislative requirements while helping maintain a safe and welcoming workplace.
