Job Title: Warehouse Team Leader (Nights)
Location: Heywood
Full-time: Permanent
Salary: £14.02 per hour
(£58.96 TL allowance per week only payable when shift is worked)

Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and motivate the team to achieve daily output objectives and deliver shift KPIs.
- Ensure the warehouse operates to QA standards and AIB/DQMP standards for hygiene and tidiness.
- Apply a zero tolerance culture to all health and safety issues.
- Ensure staff are correctly utilised to achieve daily operational requirements.
- Prepare and attend daily 9am operation meetings when covering Shift Operations Manager duties.
- Challenge in consultation with Shift Operations Managers any employee not achieving company standards.
- Ensure the team is trained and competent to carry out tasks and develop a multi-skilled workforce.
- Proactively seek solutions to operational problems and resolve queries as they arise; escalate unresolved queries to the appropriate manager.
Employee Resource
- Coordinate and control labour usage to achieve budget productivity levels and financial spend in line with Shift Operations Manager expectations.
- Address any reasonable requests as directed by Shift Operations and/or Assistant Operations Manager(s) or Operations Manager.
Communication
- Ensure daily briefings to the team on daily requirements and regularly update on performance issues.
- Meet and greet shift, record attendance, and brief as per MBUK briefing template.
- Hold daily briefings to provide open two-way communication between staff and shift management.
- Provide effective handovers to oncoming or outgoing shifts to ensure operational continuity.
Health and Safety
- Work with Health & Safety Team to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Meet Health and Safety KPI targets and enforce clean as you go/QIP/AIB/DQMP policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership role in a similar FMCG operation (Desirable).
- Effective people management skills (Essential).
- Experience with WM systems – intermediate (Desirable).
- Effective performance management skills (Desirable).
