Inventory Manager – Distribution Centre
Location: Hemel Hempstead | Employment type: Full-time, On-site | Salary: £47,840.00 (subject to experience)

Responsibilities
- Managing a team of 12–20, supporting your team and other DC teams; manage the employee lifecycle within your team
- Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock; use software to process in a warehouse management system
- Conduct regular stock audits to reconcile physical inventory with records; participate in yearly external audits onsite
- Work with the Supply team to ensure optimal stock levels are met
- Develop and deliver the inventory strategy, standardise and implement robust processes; ensure all inventory policies and practices are adhered to site-wide
- Ensure best practice within all site inventory teams through new ways of working and robust SOPs
- Undertake root cause and trend analysis; educate inventory and operational teams on issues that could have been solved at source
- Actively manage the team\’s activity through direct reports, including performance reviews, coaching, development, and succession planning
Qualifications
- Strong experience in a similar stock management role
- Experience with stock counts (including year-end stock takes) and stock audits
- Budget management and time management
- Track record in stock investigation and inventory controls
- Experience supervising or managing a team including training and performance management
- Experience in Employee Relations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of building high-performing teams
- Proven ability to implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
