We combine cutting-edge engineering with a clear mission: protecting aircrew worldwide. We are seeking a commercially focused Procurement Specialist to join our Sourcing team as an Account Manager. In this role, you will lead the buying and procurement of complex engineering products and services from both UK and international suppliers. You will play a pivotal role in strategically sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing to drive cost efficiency, ensure high-quality standards, and maintain delivery performance across critical manufacturing programs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities across engineering categories
- Leading RFQs, tenders and supplier negotiations to achieve best value outcomes
- Developing and managing supplier performance, risk and continuous improvement
- Partnering with Engineering, Quality, Production and Programme teams
- Supporting bid activity and customer delivery commitments
- Maintaining supplier, cost and lead-time data in SAP
- Ensuring compliance with export control and regulatory requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in procurement, buying or strategic sourcing within engineering or manufacturing
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications (desirable)
- Strong Excel and ERP/MRP system experience (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of UK and international trade compliance (desirable)
Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar
- CIPS or equivalent qualification advantageous
