We are now recruiting a ServiceNow Administrator to join our Information Technology team at our Denham site on a 12 month maternity cover basis.
The Role:
As a ServiceNow Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and improving the organisation’s ServiceNow platform across the business. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of the platform, ensuring stable and efficient IT service delivery across multiple teams. This role offers exposure to a broad range of ServiceNow modules and technologies, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Asset Management, CMDB, Knowledge Management, integrations, automation, and reporting. You will work closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Applications, and wider business stakeholders to ensure the platform continues to meet operational and business needs. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives, helping enhance workflows, automate processes, improve reporting capabilities, and maintain platform governance and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform, including users, roles, groups, and access controls
- Monitor platform performance, integrations, scheduled jobs, and overall platform health
- Perform instance maintenance activities including upgrades, patching, cloning, and configuration reviews
- Configure and maintain ServiceNow modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Asset, CMDB, and Knowledge Management
- Build and maintain workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, notifications, and service catalogue items
- Support integrations with enterprise systems including AD/Entra ID, HR systems, and monitoring tools
- Configure and maintain inbound/outbound REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and data imports
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow-related issues and incidents
- Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, reports, and performance analytics
- Maintain data quality and integrity across key ServiceNow modules
- Support testing activities including UAT, regression, and functional testing during upgrades and changes
- Ensure all platform changes follow governance standards, change control procedures, and best practices
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements and automation opportunities
- Provide platform guidance and support to users and technical teams
About You:
We are looking for a proactive, organised, and technically capable ServiceNow professional with strong platform administration and configuration experience. You will be comfortable managing BAU platform activities while also contributing to ongoing improvements and optimisation initiatives.
Essential:
- Experience administering and supporting the ServiceNow platform within an enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management
- Experience configuring workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and notifications
- Knowledge of CMDB, Asset Management, and Service Catalogue administration
- Experience supporting integrations and APIs within ServiceNow
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience building reports, dashboards, and performance analytics
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Highly IT literate with strong documentation skills
Desirable:
- ServiceNow certifications
- Experience with MID Servers and integrations
- Knowledge of scripting and automation within ServiceNow
- Experience supporting ServiceNow upgrades and release management
- Understanding of governance and platform best practices
- Experience working with CMDB administration and data governance
- Exposure to ServiceNow Project Management and/or Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) modules
- Experience supporting or configuring ServiceNow Security Operations modules
- Exposure to AI implementation, automation, or AI-driven capabilities within ServiceNow or enterprise IT platforms
- Previous experience working within regulated or complex enterprise environments
