We're looking for a Trade Compliance Analyst to join our team in Denham, focusing on commodity code classification, tariffs, and customs compliance within an engineering environment.
The Role
- You’ll analyse technical and engineering data to assign accurate UK trade and commodity codes, ensuring compliance with HMRC Trade Tariff regulations.
- Working with engineering, trade compliance, and export logistics teams, you’ll help maintain and align master data across SAP and Teamcenter, driving data quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Classify goods and materials accurately using engineering data.
- Liaise with engineering teams to support correct customs classification.
- Maintain and validate master data across SAP and Teamcenter.
- Monitor regulatory changes and support compliance and audits.
- Contribute to data quality improvements and system enhancements.
About You
- Experience in customs compliance, especially classification and tariffs.
- Advanced Excel skills for large datasets and complex formulas.
- Understanding of master data management.
- Able to read engineering drawings (or willing to learn).
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in engineering/aerospace, NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, and familiarity with SAP, Teamcenter, or SAP GTS.
