We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Product and Engineering Support team. This isn't a desk job; you'll be the face of Martin-Baker on the hangar floor, providing world-class technical support to military and civil aviation customers across the globe.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and trial installation of ejection seats and aircraft canopy systems.

  • Global Support: Travel internationally for deployments ranging from one to several weeks.
  • Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance on ejection seats and explosive canopy cords.
  • Trial Installations (TIs): Collaborate with Design Engineers and Human Factors specialists to retrofit seats into aircraft.
  • Maintain strict tool control and follow complex engineering drawings and technical manuals.

You take pride in your "hand skills" and have the diplomatic touch needed to handle complex customer relations.

Experience: Proven background in the Aerospace or Aeronautical industry.

Education: HNC, BTEC, or NVQ Level 3/4 in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

Technical Aptitude: Exceptional mechanical "hand skills" and the ability to interpret complex engineering documentation. A willingness to travel extensively and work independently after training. Direct experience with ejection seat maintenance or canopy fitting. Experience in helicopter or aircraft line maintenance.
