What you'll be doing

Martin-Baker is the world's leading manufacturer of ejection seats, helping to protect aircrew in the world's most advanced military aircraft. Our mission is simple – to save aircrew lives.

Join us on this mission through one of our Apprenticeship Programmes, starting September 2026.

As well as achieving a qualification, you'll learn about Martin-Baker through exposure to various Engineering & Manufacturing disciplines, fully supported by your team. These disciplines could include Machining, Assembly, Tool Room, Design and Environmental Test, and you could learn use of mills and lathes, pipe bending, riveting, deburring, inspection techniques, CAD modelling, and so much more!

We'll also provide the time needed for your commitments with training providers so that you successfully achieve all aspects of your apprenticeship.

Our programme also helps you to develop your interpersonal skills with various activities throughout the course of the apprenticeship. These opportunities include STEM outreach, support at careers and business fairs and challenging yourself with resilience training.

Education & Qualifications:

Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4):

Level 4 Apprenticeship is equivalent to a Foundation degree and awards a Higher National Certificate (HNC). The entry requirements are 5 GCSE's, including English, Mathematics, and a Science. You will need to be graded 9-5 in Mathematics and 9-4 in English and Science

Degree Apprenticeships (Level 6):

Level 6 Apprenticeship is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and awards a BEng (Hons). The entry requirements are 5 GCSE's, including English, Mathematics, and a Science. You will need to be graded 9-5 in Mathematics and 9-4 in English and Science. An offer will require a UCAS tariff score of 112-128. If you wish to be considered for a Degree Apprenticeship, we recommend A Levels at grade C or equivalent Level 3 qualifications, in Maths, Science, Technology, or Engineering related subjects
