What you’ll be doing:

Join us on this mission as a Trainee Machinist at our Denham site. We have an impressive Machine Shop at our Denham site and this role will be undertaking processes for the manufacture of parts on a variety of machine tools eventually contributing to the success of ejector seats produced onsite, to ultimately save lives. Aspects of the role include:

  • Training to become competent in the machining and inspection of components using a variety of processes and techniques in accordance with Martin-Baker work Instructions.
  • Learning how to accurately interpret component drawings and relevant information so that part numbers, drawing issues, relevant ADR’s, process specification and surface finishes can be accurately identified and applied.
  • Generating and maintaining inspection documentation in accordance with all relevant Company Quality Assurance policy.
  • Using SAP to undertake different process transactions.

Characteristics & Skills:

  • Basic PC skills such as Microsoft Office.
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths, English and Physics.
  • Team player – with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic administration routines.
