What you’ll be doing
Join us on this mission as a Production Support Technician Assembly Department at our Denham site. This role will be focused on supporting Cell Leaders and Team Leaders to minimise production delays by resolving issues to keep production progressing. Success in this role will depend on the individual seeking solutions to problems and working to see them through rather than accept the status quo.
Aspects of the role to include:
- Help with initial fault/reject diagnosis for issues causing production stops.
- Help decide whether faults can be rectified with a ’15-minute fix’ or requires deeper investigation.
- Where ’15-minute fix’ is a suitable route, carry out minor reworks if deemed appropriate.
- Liaise with multiple departments such as Production Engineering, Production Control and Quality Control.
- Where replacement parts can immediately keep production moving; review stock (including basic conformity checks), create repicks using SAP, collect the parts from their storage location and deliver them to the cell leader/operator with minimal delay.
- Raise IERs as required or liaise with Production Engineering to raise IERs if outside your technical capability.
Characteristics & Skills
- Competent in basic, PED, QC and Production Control SAP transactions.
- Previous hands-on manufacturing experience within relevant processes. E.g. assembly.
- Good understanding of Martin Baker product range.
- SAP experience.
- Ideally will have knowledge of current seat shortage status, CM01 backlog status and ‘on hold’ status to ensure priorities are understood, managed and delivered without delay.
