The Opportunity
Martin-Baker, the world leader in ejection seat manufacturing, is looking for a qualified and experienced NDT Level 2 Radiographer (NAS410/EN4179 Certified) to join our specialist inspection team. Focussing on digital X-Ray and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) within aerospace and defence manufacturing where accuracy and integrity truly make a difference. If you have X-Ray/Radiography experience in aerospace, automotive, or other industrial applications, we want to hear from you. (Please note: medical radiography backgrounds are not applicable to this position.)
What You’ll Do
- Ensure the safety and reliability of life-saving components through cutting-edge inspection processes, including capturing, analysing, and interpreting digital X-Ray images to detect structural irregularities.
- Perform helium leak testing using mass spectrometry.
- Record and mark test and production data accurately.
- Uphold the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards across all operations.
- Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
- Collaborate with QA/QC, engineering, and production teams to ensure mission-critical reliability.
About You
- You’re a skilled professional who thrives on precision and accountability in a high-integrity environment.
- NDT Level 2 Radiographer (NAS410/EN4179 Certification).
- Proven experience in industrial X-Ray/NDT inspection in aerospace, defence, or automotive.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and defect interpretation.
- Proficiency with digital X-Ray systems, data analysis, and SAP.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
