What you’ll be doing:

Join us on this mission as an Assembly Operative working in the Assembly department at our Denham site. You’ll be undertaking a variety of processes to produce builds as part of seat assembly that will contribute to the success of the ejector seats produced onsite, to ultimately save lives. Aspects of the role include:

  • Using a variety of hand tools such as files, hacksaws, spanners.
  • Using measuring equipment such as calipers and digital measuring equipment to make any adjustments necessary.
  • Carrying out inspections in accordance with quality standards and issuing the appropriate certificates and stamps.
  • Monitoring the fitness for purpose of tools and equipment and providing for their replacement and/or recalibration.

Characteristics & Skills:

  • Experience using hand/digital equipment and tools.
  • Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Basic manufacturing/engineering background.
  • Background in H&S policies and procedures and COSHH regulations.
