What you’ll be doing
- Handle explosive materials, goods and components carefully.
- Accurately interpret assembly drawings and production documents, ensuring Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices and Batches are identified and recorded correctly.
- Carry out assembly to required tolerances.
- Use appropriate weighing equipment and tools specific to each batch.
- Perform self‑inspection and quality checks of finished work.
- Update SAP so that work in progress is accurately recorded at all times.
Characteristics & Skills
- Basic production/manufacturing experience in a similar environment.
- Basic understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Basic grounding in H&S policies and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure, balancing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Team player capable of working independently.
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow instructions and requests, whether verbal or written.
