What you’ll be doing

  • Handle explosive materials, goods and components carefully.
  • Accurately interpret assembly drawings and production documents, ensuring Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices and Batches are identified and recorded correctly.
  • Carry out assembly to required tolerances.
  • Use appropriate weighing equipment and tools specific to each batch.
  • Perform self‑inspection and quality checks of finished work.
  • Update SAP so that work in progress is accurately recorded at all times.

Characteristics & Skills

  • Basic production/manufacturing experience in a similar environment.
  • Basic understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Basic grounding in H&S policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure, balancing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Team player capable of working independently.
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow instructions and requests, whether verbal or written.
