What You’ll Be Doing

Join us on this mission as an Assembly Operative working in our Pipes Department at our Denham site. You’ll be undertaking a variety of processes to produce pipes as part of seat assembly and hand fitting pipes that will contribute to the success of the ejector seats produced onsite, to ultimately save lives.

Aspects Of The Role Include To

  • Cut pipes using an electric saw.
  • Set and operate pipe bending machines in accordance with the specifications.
  • Hand fit pipes to the relevant form blocks and digital measuring equipment and make any adjustments necessary.
  • Carry out inspections in accordance with quality standards and issue the appropriate certificates and stamps.
  • To monitor the fitness for purpose of tools and equipment and provide for their replacement and/or recalibration

Characteristics & Skills

  • Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Basic manufacturing/engineering background.
  • Background in H&S policies and procedures and COSHH regulations.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • SAP experience
  • Mechanical Apprenticeship desirable.
